Ceiling insulation is one of the most effective ways to improve your home's energy efficiency year-round. An uninsulated ceiling accounts for up to 40% of heat lost from the home in winter and up to 30% of heat gained during summer.

There are now many types of insulation available. Think sustainable production as well as the service it will provide in the roof. We can now buy insulation made from recycled materials for example.

 When installing insulation we'll here about the R-value of a material, which describes its thermal resistance, or how much the material inhibits the transfer of heat. The higher the R-value, the more effective the level of insulation.
