Sort your load
Sorting your load saves you time and effort!
Most people have absolutely no idea and so when you
mention waste and recycling disposal, they say “Ahh,
you mean a tip!”
No, we don’t mean a tip! Resource Recovery Centres
are facilities provided in over 270 communities in
Victoria, designed to help reduce the amount of waste
we send to landfill.
As their name suggests, Resource Recovery Centres
are a place were materials can be collected and
transferred to other locations.
Resource Recovery Centres allow you to recycle a wide variety of items, often at a much reduced price than disposing of your waste directly to landfill.
Before your next trip to the Resource Recovery Centre,
think about how you can saver yourself some time and
effort by sorting your load at home.
How to Sort Your Load to take it to your local Resource Recovery Facility
To Get It Sorted
-
Stick your rubbish on the bottom
-
Then your green waste goes on next,
-
Place your bricks to the right
-
Your timber to the left.
-
Put your cardboard on the top of this,
-
Then pipes and metals too,
-
Covering your load is the final thing you do.
